Job Description
The Director Business Development will be responsible to driving aggressive business growth, developing a nationwide retailer structure and building a strong network of leads and customers in the area of wastewater treatment, aqua culture and similar applications for technical parts.
The ideal candidate will strategically focus on the entire market in accordance with the overall company targets, research and focus on new market opportunities, independently develop a solid base of business relationships and lead the whole sales process from customer request, quotation preparation towards contracting and after sales activities. He will work and coordinate the activities with our internal sales organization as well with manufacturing and logistics.
Qualifications / Expectations
- Develop nationwide business development strategies
- Hands-on mentality to lead all sales activities
- Build and enlarge distributer and retailer network, representatives and partner companies
- Acquire new leads and strengthen customer relationship
- Hunter mentality for business opportunities to fasten mid-/long-term market growth
- Technical consulting and guidance for site projects and new products
- Handle tender offers, call for bids and proposals including on-site visits
- Provide customer consulting, sales quotations and contracting activities
- Improve market research, develop product program and support technical department
- Participate in fairs, trade shows and sales events
Skills, Knowledge and Education Requirements
- Inside and outside sales experience is a must
- Strategic thinking to grow the business is mandatory
- Technical background – especially for FRP materials – is an important advantage
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of SAP software system is a bonus
- Ability to build relationships with multiple outside sales customers and distributors
- CRM software knowledge is a plus
